Game Boy Micro Lives Up to Nintendo Name

Game Boy Micro

Nintendo has yet revolved the game boy once again. Many normal individuals are probably thinking Nintendo has beaten that horse to death right?' Well yes and no, Nintendo's DS really didn't live up to many standards but Nintendo has always had great game play on some of the older Game Boy games. What does this leave fans of Nintendo? The Micro. Launching September 19 it really has a lot of bang for it's buck. (launching at $100) One of the cool new doodads that the Micro sports
is the ability to interchange face plates. It worked well for Nokia and I'm betting it'll work for the Micro too.

The Micro is sleek at a whopping 4 inches wide by 2 inches long and only .7 inches tall, which is just about the same size as the Ipod Nano. We all know that
size really matters when geek is involved. The smaller the gadget the cuter/sexier it is. Standards on the Micro are limited to the headphone jack. Upgrades include Lithium-ion battery, (can I hear an amen) wider hand placement for more comfort, and the cool eerie glow of the words Select and Start.

Drawbacks; As with any system, there are a few however they are minor. One drawback being the lack of support for Game Boy Advanced accessories; the other, no classic black & white or Game Boy Color titles, which bites. However, as of the September 19th release date it will have 600 titles that you can chose from. (mooching
off the Game Boy Advanced of course)

I really believe that this release will be a big one for Nintendo. If this doesn't take off I fear it's the last new' release of anything Nintendo hardware.
Nevertheless, beyond that, Game Boy Micro rocks and I predict it will sell to an older audience.
