Game Change Book: Racist Comments Harry Reid the Clinton's, Obama and Palin

The Game Change Equals Racist Political Controversy

Marie M. Daniels
You may have heard about the new book 'Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime" by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin on 60 Minutes or Politico.com and all of the talk about the last presidential election. The Game Change book has cause quite a lot of controversy on its first day of release. There seems to have been political name calling going on behind the scenes of the last election.

Many of big political names have been mentioned in the book causing racism controversy for former president Bill Clinton and Senator Harry Reid. For Bill Clinton at least we know that he has a hard time keeping of hand comments to himself. As for Harry Reid some politicians are trying to have him resign over the "racist" comments that he made and were published in the Game Change book.

While Senator Reid has apologized for his racial comment he made about presidential candidate Barack Obama his career as Senate Majority Leader may be affected. It seems sad to me that some this book is coming out now and stirring up all kinds of trouble when the election and offending comments happened over a year ago.

Many of the offending comments, not only the ones about race, were made in private confidences when the speakers thought they could trust the other person not to blab it to the news, a tabloid or have it written down in a book to haunt them years later. It just goes to prove that your mother was right when she told you, 'If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!' That saying would be especially good for politicians to remember because what they say can come back to haunt them and possibly ruin their career.

Apparently there is also name calling reserved for Sarah Palin and comments made about Bill Clinton that are stirring up the political waters. Michelle Obama is mentioned in the controversial racial book the Game Change and her roll in her husband Obama's presidential bid.

If you have any interest on seeing the other side of the 2008 presidential election that was not covered by the media then you may want to read the Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime by authors John Heilemann and Mark Halperin for yourself to find out what all the racism talk and controversy is about.

It makes me wonder who is going to benefit from this book of mudslinging the long run. Very interesting article.
