If you decide to buy a console, it will not be easy. When you go shopping, you will be in front of three different consoles to select from - Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii. If you plan on buy all three, stop reading this article since it will not help you out a lot.

If you like action games, terror games, car games better to choose between the Xbox 360 or the PS3 but if you like more interaction games like sport games, education games better the Wii.

Xbox 360 is a good console, cheaper than the PS3, almos the same price than the WII. You can find everything you need in this Microsoft console, it offers you great exclusive games like Gears of war, a HDMI connection to improve the quality of the picture so you can have a HDTV 1080p resolution and a lot of accessories (keyboard, micro...). The bad point is that the console is very noisy so you have to put a little louder the speaker, it has a HD-DVD player and right now in the market you will find only blu-ray movie, and a problem of overheat.

PS3 is the most expensive, Sony just get out the new PS3 with 80gb and one dualshock 3 which has the vibration function at least. Like the Xbox 360, it has his own exclusive games like MGS4, it has a blu-ray player so ideal for the movie market, it can read divx too. The bad point is that it is really expensive and most part of his accessories also. If you think to buy right now a PS3, i will tell you to wait. In October 2008, Sony will get out a new model with a 160 gb, it will be a little more expensive but Sony will include some extras to compensate the price.

WII is the most cheaper, Nintendo proposes games which are very different than the PS3 and the Xbox, they are focused on interaction games like WII Fit or any sport games like WII Sports on which the player has an important role since he/she will interact a lot during the game. If you are the kind of person who likes action games, terror games this console is not for you. I will say that this console is more for family. It doesn't include a blu-ray or HD-DVD player.

Depending on what you are looking for, one of those 3 should correspond to your needs but i will say "wait to Christmas", you will have more offers in terms of packs and prices.
