Game Plan

Phaidra Glover
With wrenching sorrow I seek to pulverize regret
You terror, you heartless fiend, reeking from the murky depths
I swiftly calculate my plans to end your choking reign
You know, I had intended to dream back to days of yore to sustain my emptiness

Now I must end your show, your vile masquerade--that all of my past memories could have, should have, would have been better if...

No! No more! God, save me and send me Your salvation
For I'll not be hindered by this time-crunching simpleton
I must attempt to erase what was never recorded, to repair what was never broken
And I'll have no part of you having a part of me again.
