The game "Annabel" is a simple point and click game, also known as a Hidden Object Game (HOG), and starts out with a young lady visiting a pyramid in Egypt on an archaeological tour. She meets a man who asks her name, and notices that Annabel looks strikingly similar and has the same name as an Egyptian princess from long ago, in the Amenhotep dynasty. Annabel was in love with a man named "Akhenaten", but an evil person named "Amertekh" loves Annabel. He takes Annabel and locks her up against her will, and pledges to kill Akhenaten.

The Annabel from present day goes back in time and is put into the role of the Annabel of ancient times, to undo what happened to her. Annabel must first escape from the pyramid she's in. You must find things and get out of some situations, such as making a shadow puppet out of a hair brush and other items to scare the guard standing outside your cell. Annabel meets up with Akhenaten about 5 minutes into the game, and he tells her to meet his friend by the Nile river to tell him the secret code he gives to her, while he was waiting on the boat. When he hears the code, he would let her pass, and she would go onto the boat to be reunited with Akhenaten. But first she must find a way out.

Overall i would give this game a 2/5. The graphics are quite good, the loading screen artwork is quite amazing. The sounds are also very appealing and relaxing. I personally just don't like point-and-click games. If you like puzzles, and room-escape games, then you would probably like this game. I played the 60-minute trial for 20 minutes and deleted it off my computer. It's a good script for a movie, but the game is just boring. I would not suggest playing this game, the trial is only 60 minutes and the actual game is $9.95. I do not plan on playing the trial any more or buying the game. Personally i think there are much more fun games to play online.
