Game Review: FIFA 09

The Professor
This is a game of the soccer game FIFA 09. The new soccer game has many new features that it's predecessors didn't contain. Some of these are the types of things that only true fans can appreciate. Some of these include a new collision system for when players collide.
One of the coolest new features is the collision system which calculates the speed, weight, and power of the players colliding to determine how each player will react to the collision. Other new features are a more powerful goalkeeper system. The new technology allows goalies to position better and recover faster after each shot.
Cool features that soccer hasn't had before is a weather and time. Now games can be played morning, midday, night, sunny, rain or even snow.
Improved features are the "Be A Pro" mode has now changed from being only one season to four. Unfortunately, the Wii version still lacks this mode. On the other hand the Wii as with all there EA Sports games includes the All-Play features with many mini-games.
In terms of video quality the game visual effects continue to take large jumps in terms of improvement. The game also has improved some of the lag problems that it's predecessor had online.
For you diehard fans that have thought that the game lacked the real emotion of the game. Well, EA Sports has heard they have built up custom celebrations for players after they score. Also emotional responses to fouls or poor passes have now been included.
Overall, the game receives a grade of A-. The game is impressive but, it does still have some things to improve. The graphics could always use a little improvement. Also a nice feature would be if the "Be A Pro" mode could be extended to 6 or 8 seasons. This would more realistically represent the real career of a soccer player rather than 4 years.
