Gamer's Delight! Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams, Due This October 2009

Melanie Dee
For the past few months I have been hopelessly addicted to Bioshock for Playstation 3. Not only is this game a visual orgasm, but it is fun for both male and female gamers.

Male gamers get a delicious sense of pride as they whack a few zombies off, and female gamers, we enjoy the odd mysterious yet rich environments presented in the game with each and every step our virtual character takes.

My boyfriend and I have been working on conquering Bioshock ever since I bought it. I quickly chuck him the controller whenever I encounter a zombie, and he tosses it back so I can explore draws, bloody floors, or the pockets of corpses.

We've both fallen in love with the game, and frankly we have played quite a numerous amount of games for the console. Nothing though, and I mean NOTHING, has come close to being as visually stunning as Bioshock.

Bioshock however may have competition coming this October. No worries though, because the games graphical galores will only be competing against a sequel of itself.

Yup, it is official, it is confirmed, Bioshock 2 will be hitting shelves on October 6th 2009! Just in time for Halloween folks! The sequel will be shipping on the 5th from Gamestop, and should arrive to those who have pre-ordered the game the very next day on the 6th.

Unfortunately the way the gaming world has been this past year, don't always count on the release date to remain as stated. Other sites have December 15th as the set release date. So it's anyones guess as of now.

The Sims 3 recently was pushed back 4 months, to June 2009. Originally set at February 25th. Remember hearing about the Ghostbusters game? That title has been pushed back more than once...so I wouldn't be shocked to see this game pushed back as well.

Anyhow, before drifting further off topic, videos, and screen shots of the game can be found on numerous websites, and blogs for you to drool over.

From the looks of it, it appears that the sequel is going to be just as visually enticing, if not more.

Many gamers are wondering the same thing I am wondering.

Will the sequel allow 2 persons to play?

As of now there is no information on how many players will be able to play. I'm hoping though to be able to tag team with my boyfriend so we can play together.

With the title we play now, we toss the controller back and forth. It's annoying, so I'm hoping the newest release of the game will incorporate 2 players.

What Consoles Will it Be Available On?

Sorry Wii fans, Bioshock 2 will only be available on the PC, Playstation 3, and the XBOX360.

To keep up with news regarding Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams, you should definitely join the Bioshock 2 forums. Here gamers share ideas, rumors, and sometimes a photograph.Click to be taken to this informative forum.

On another awesome note, Bioshock 3 is scheduled for a December 31st 2011 release! I know, we are way ahead of ourselves here, but why not right?
