Stars and Stripes Bowling: Who can honestly say they haven't gone bowling once in a while. If you can't go to the lanes, you can bring lanes to you. You can go to your local toy store and find red, white and blue balls. The goal for this game is to knockout the more pins than your opponents.

Horseshoe Toss: It's a timeless game that never goes out of style. You just get a bunch of horseshoes and poles to have them land in. The goal of the game is to have the most horseshoes land on the pole or stick. Contestants can earn extra points for the most consecutive horseshoe landings.

Potato Shack Race: All you need for this game is to find some old potato sacks. After that, you clean them out. The next thing to do is to clear the backyard and a race track. You can party favors, old tapes to set up the lanes. Winners get some cool prizes.

Frisbee Golf: What happens when two unrelated sports merged to become one cool game? For this game, you need to have plenty of Frisbees on hand. Another thing is create hole for the Frisbees to land in. You earn points for getting the Frisbee in the hole in the fewest shots.

Create Your Own American Flag: Here's something to put your kids creativity to good use. It's not a contest, but an activity to see the artistic side of their patriotism. You can go to your nearest art store and pick up supplies. When the young guests arrive, you have them pick the supplies and let them make the flag for this activity. You're being surprised at what they will create.
