Games that Teach Kids Bible Facts

Carmella Mae Dunkin
My husband and I home school our kids, and our daughter has a hard time focusing, and getting her school work done. This makes it hard for her to learn, so we have turned to playing games in order to help teach our daughter a little easier. We've found board games, and card games that our daughter loves , and these have helped her learn a lot more, than working on paper.

I thought since games helped her with her school work, games would help her learn the Bible as well, so last week we bought two Bible card games. The two games are called, "The Ten Commandments". This game is really awesome! Not only does "The Ten Commandments" game teach the Ten Commandments, it also teaches TONS of other Bible facts from The Old Testament. I was very surprised as I looked through the deck of cards, at how many questions were too hard for even me to answer! I highly recommend this card game for teaching your kids about God, and the Bible. It's a great card game that will teach mom and dad, as well as the kids! Great fun for the entire family!

The other card game is a spin off from a card game we all know and love, "UNO", only the name of this game is, "Do You Know"? This card game is also a great, and fun family card game that teaches the entire family all about different Bible facts. These cards cover facts from both the Old and New Testaments from the Bible, and is as much fun as "The Ten Commandments" game!

In "Do You Know"? You play color or number cards, just like in "UNO", unless you have a color change card. In "Do You Know"?, instead of just changing the color, you read a Bible fact question that is in the color you want to change too. If your opponent gets the question wrong they must pick three cards from the deck. If they get the question right, then they take their turn as normal without picking three cards from the deck.

There are tons of really neat sounding Bible games. These are only two that we chose. Take a look at Christian Book Distributors web site, they have so many awesome Bible teaching games, you'll have a hard time choosing which to get!

Nick, Bible UNO is a BLAST!!! I had a hard time with some of the questions myself, and I had just read parts of the Bible that the questions refered to. Great Bible learning tool! Only $5.00 at Christian Books too.

Great job on this. I think I would like to try that game. We love UNO and the Bible theme makes it that much better.
