Games for the Whole Family - Nine in One Game Set

Sexy Mama
My husbands company holds an annual picnic for all of its employees every year around Sept. and a Christmas Party in Dec. My husband and I have been faithfully attending for the nine years we have been together in the hopes of winning the big prize, the big screen TV or Surround Sound stereo system that the company purchases for these occasions. Eight years and counting, we have attended and left with nothing, my husband had threatened to make a shirt that states 0-8 I still believe, to wear to the last party we attended.

Luckily he didn't get a chance to make his shirt, and at the company's annual picnic this year our ticket was drawn. We were off miniature golfing and didn't realize our name had been drawn. It's usually the company policy to call the name a few times and then draw a new name if the person doesn't show. Luckily we had a friend in the crowd who told them we were golfing and they put our gift aside for us.

As we were getting ready to leave here comes my husband with this blue bag and a strange grin. Look, we finally won something dear. My response, I don't think a TV will fit in that dear, what is it? IT was a 9-1 game system consisting of badminton, volleyball, Frisbee, a toss and catch game, and several other games that I have no clue what to do with. Now I have three small children and no yard so what to do with this lovely new acquisition was quite the question.

Now much to my surprise and enjoyment these games have been a most positive addition to my family. I honestly didn't think my kids would be able to use these items but I was mistaken. My husband suggested taking the racquets and birdie outside and pass them around in our parking lot. This turned out to be the greatest idea of the season. It built my sons self confidence, it improved his had and eye coordination, and it got him out from in front of the TV. He was begging to go outside and play with the birdie game.

Now we don't play by the rules but we are defiantly getting our use out of this unexpected gift idea. It gets my husband, kids, and me outside together doing something to improve our health. My children have also found uses for the volleyball and toss game and beg to go outside and play. It's not what we would have hoped for but something we are very happy we received.

With four kids, I know the value of any item that will peel the kids away from the tube. Enjoy the time with the family.
