Gamu Nhengu to Perform at MOBO's?

Gamu Nhengu's life has been heavily reported since her departure from the "X Factor". In the midst of rows about whether or not she will be reported and sent back to her native Zimbabwe, a ray of hope has shone through for Gamu.

Gamu Nhengu has been offered the opportunity to perform live at tonight's MOBO awards in Liverpool with JLS - also former "X Factor" contestants. JLS are billed to appear with a special star guest and speculation seems to be that Gamu will be the person to take the stage with them.

A source said, "This is the first big thing for her since all the drama so she is really nervous. Organisers really want her to show up as she is so popular. Her mum does as well. She wants her daughter there on stage because that's what she loves doing. She's been really worried about her since she left the show. We don't know until the show starts whether Gamu will agree to sing or not. She is expected to join lots of big names on the red carpet. We hope she doesn't get scared and back out."

Anyone in doubt over whether Gamu can cope with the pressure has clearly not seen this video. It shows Gamu singing in front of an enormous audience, and leading a large choir. This girl was born to sing, and the chance to perform with JLS may give her confidence a much needed boost.
