As far as I know, this is the only Gap Clearance center in the USA. This store isn't an outlet. It's an outlet for the outlets - it's where Gap brand clothing comes to die. This store is a "true" clearance store and isn't known to many people, except for locals. Here you'll find Gap brand clothing (and when I say "Gap brand, I mean you'll find Old Navy, Banana Republic and Piperlime stuff here) that could be several years old, have missing zippers, poop stains and otherwise soiled. But it's not all that ugly-you'll find decent stuff that you'll be hard pressed to find something wrong with. Perhaps the die job was wrong and that teal shirt you find at the Gap Clearance center was actually supposed to be navy blue. Or maybe one leg is shorter on the pants. You know, that kind of stuff.

The store is big - it's like a warehouse. Stuff is displayed on racks and reminds me of a thrift store. All clothing has a cut label, or a gold line through the label to indicate it came from the clearance center. This is so that you cannot bring these clothing items back to the Banana Republic store in your local mall. Stuff is organized by men, women, children and baby.

It's All About the Hunt at the Gap Clearance Store
To find good stuff, you're going to have to dig. Plan to spend an entire afternoon here - perhaps longer if you're going on a weekend. Weekends are when the Gap Clearance Store gets especially busy. Lines can get long and your patience will wear thin. But you could come out with a Banana Republic leather jacket for $25! You never know.

Often times, the Gap Clearance store will put out a special "rack" with a sign on it - it could have a bunch of black Gap pants for $1. This is where the real deals are! The special clearance racks change often, so scoring these deals is all about timing.
