Spring is finally on its way. After spending the cold dark days of February browsing seed catalogs and gardening magazines, it is nice to be able to get outside and visit some garden nurseries to see, smell and touch the actual plants.

Most home owners have a long list of spring gardening projects. Flower beds need to be mulched and planted, pathways need to be repaired or re-designed, lawns need fertilized and reseeded, trees and shrubs need trimmed. The best way to tackle these projects is to jot down your plans and make a list of the plants, materials and tools needed for each project. Once that is done, you are ready to head to a local garden nursery to do some shopping.
