Soil
You can grow a Ficus Pumila in virtually any type of soil. Just make sure to use a good potting mix with a pH between 5.6 and 7.5. The soil should be kept moist from spring until winter begins. During the winter, you can keep the soil slightly drier.
Water
During the growing season, your Ficus Pumila should be watered whenever the soil is dry one or two inches down. You can reduce the amount of water that you provide during the winter months. It's also important that provide moderate to high humidity in the room where the plant is located.
Light
Although a Ficus Pumila will survive in low light conditions, the plant will grow best when given plenty of bright light. However, you need to make sure that it isn't placed in direct sun or the leaves may dry out and shrivel. The temperature can be kept anywhere between 55 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Growth
Like its name suggests, a creeping fig can grow very long. They've been known to grow up to 40 feet. This means that you're going to need to put the plant in a location where it will have plenty of room to grow.
If you grow the plant outside, then you will need to maintain it regularly. If you don't it will grow out of control. New stems should be pruned in the spring to keep the plant under control.
These are a few tips on growing a Ficus Pumila. Make sure you don't overwater the plant and provide it with moderate to high humidity. It is also best to provide it with plenty of bright light.
