The Timberwolves are looking into many trade scenarios this summer and it looks like none of them involve Kevin Garnett at this point. Kevin Garnett has said that he wants to remain in Minnesota and with the Wolves not being able to deal him before the draft, it looks likely that he may stay in Minnesota.
The longer the Wolves go without trading Kevin Garnett, the less likely they will be to trade him, especially with teams signing free agents.
Mo Williams Still A Buck
Mo Williams finally made a decision. His decision was to take the money and stay. The Heat had offered Williams less money, but a chance to play for a winner. In the end Williams said he is happy with his decision to sign with the Bucks and be a part of their rebuilding. With Williams, the Bucks may be better next year than many think. Williams signed a 6-year, $52 million contract with the Bucks.
Mason back to the Bucks
Desmond Mason is looking to resign with the Bucks, a team he played with two years ago. Mason and the Bucks are on the verge of signing a multi-year deal. Mason could be signed within the next day or two. Mason said he felt betrayed when he had to leave the Bucks two years ago, but it appears that is all behind him.
Heat, Francis Talk
The Miami Heat are looking for a backup plan now that they can no longer have Mo Williams. The Heat are said to have talked with Steve Francis about his coming to South Beach. Francis was recently bought out by the Trailblazers and he can sign with any team.
Blake a Blazer
Steve Blake decided to not wait to see what Mo Williams did and he signed a contract with the Trailblazers. Not soon after Williams decided on the Bucks. The Heat would have been very interested in Steve Blake.
Jarret Jack on the Block?
With the signing of Steve Blake many are wondering whether surprising point guard Jarett Jack could be on his way out of Portland. Jack was drafted out of Georgia Tech with mid-level expectations. He had risen to be Portland's starting point guard very fast but his days with the team may be numbered.
Portland GM Kevin Pritchard says he has no intentions of trading Jarret Jack.
Bulls Sign Smith
The Chicago Bulls signed former first overall pick Joe Smith. He will add a veteran presence to the frontcourt for the Bulls.
