So I have tried a few fake tans, but the second one I tried was Garnier Ambre Solaire dry body mist in original intense. I thought I would give this one a go as Garnier have always been a make to trust, and their products always have quality ingredients in them.
The packaging.
It comes in a brown metal bottle, with a nozzle that they claim can spray evenly from any angle, allowing you to reach the tricky places such as the backs of your legs and back.
The product.
The instructions say to spay from a distance of 40cm, so I did, the mist is very fine, and you lose a huge amount as it falls on the floor/surrounding area, but any closer and you'll risk getting patches of darker colour and the result will be much less even (trust me, I tried).
It says the colour takes three hours to develop fully, but it's more like six, the best thing to do is to apply the tan, let it dry completely and then go to bed.
You don't need to worry about getting tan stains on your bed sheets as the product absorbs into the skin within a few minutes.
The spray nozzle is good and you can reach the difficult areas without any trouble, but the only problem is the nozzle quickly builds up a residue and it comes off onto the skin (or your finger), so you end up with a splash of darker colour if you are not very careful.
And whilst it states that there is no nee to rub in, if you are doing places like the knees, backs of legs, ankles or elbows, it is definitely worth rubbing it n a little to avoid the skin there looking much darker than everywhere else (again, I tried)
To make any visible difference, you will need at least 3 applications, which at £10.99 a bottle will not work out cheap in the long run.
But once the colour has developed fully, you are left with a brown/golden glow, which is both natural looking and long lasting.
