Garnier Moisture Rescue Fresh Cleansing Foam Vs. Shiseido Cleansing Foam

I took a chance with Garnier Moisture Rescue Cream Cleanser recently because I read that it compares to Shiseido Cleansing Foam.

Shiseido Cleansing Foam, in my opinion, is the best foam cleanser on the market. A tiny half pea size amount of cleanser quickly lathers into super rich foam. It contains barely there gentle granules that remove dulling and dead skin cells and its super luxurious lather moisturizes while it cleanses.

The foam absorbs excess oil and is highly effective at removing makeup and dirt. I cannot describe how much I love this cleanser. It feels like a face massage, it is so good! It retails for about 30 bucks and can be found at any Shiseido counter.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Fresh Cleansing Foam is actually comparable.

It does lather into rich luxurious foam and feels pretty fantastic while cleansing. It's oil free, non comedogenic and does cleanse without over drying. Garnier Cleansing Foam retails for about 7 bucks and can be found at drugstores. Can't beat 7 bucks, right?

The downer is that it's a thicker cream than Shiseido's. It takes much more than half a pea sized drop to work into rich lather and doesn't lather quickly.

The worst part is that it hurts like HELL if it seeps in to your eyes or up your nose. It stings! And because it's a thicker creamier cleanser - it takes more rubbing to get the foamy, creamy soap out. No bueno.

Garnier calls it "inspired by nature" because its ingredients include grape and apple water extract. While I think it's inspired by nature - don't be fooled. It's not an organic product.

BUT in all fairness, it's still a great foam cleanser. Garnier does warn to keep it out of your eyes, but let's be real. It might seep in sometimes and it will hurt - like a you know what.

It's worth trying, just keep it out of your eyes!

I just try tons of products. I have sensitive skin, so it has been a battle. Does that make me shallow? I hope not.
