Smell - I like to put the lotion on in the morning as a base before I put my make up on. I also like to put it on after I wash my face before I go to bed at night. To me, the lotion seems to have a strong smell. It is not necessarily a bad smell, just an extremely sweet smell. I am not sure if I really love the fact that my face has this perfume smell all day. The scent does wear off after a little while. Some people might like the smell, but I am very sensitive to any type of smell.
Consistency - The lotion consistency is a little thicker than I am used to. I am not finding it creamy or silky. I am finding it sticky and too thick. I need to wash my hands after applying it to my face. When I wash my hands, I could actually feel the lotion come off. I have dry hands so you would think some of the lotion would soak into my hands, nope, too thick. . I am not so sure it is the lotion I am looking for. I like a lighter feel on my face. This feels too heavy on my skin, maybe even a little sticky
.
Claims - The Garnier Company claims that this lotion will help tone up your skin. It is supposed to make your feel skin better and lighter and you should feel younger after using it for a certain length of time. I am not so sure I will be using it for that long to find out if their claims are true. I haven't broken out so that is a good feature of this product and what the ingredients must be made from. It does leave a non-greasy shine to your face.
Bottle - The lotion I bought comes in a great pump dispenser. I really do like that one feature about this product. I haven't had any problems with the pump sticking and not working correctly. I have other pump lotions and they tend to stick after just a few uses. This one has worked pretty smoothly. The bottle is light green and the pump top is white.
Price - I found that Amazon.com is selling this same product in the 2.5 oz. for $12.63. CVS is selling it for $12.99. You could also go to the Garnier website and learn about their entire line of skin and hair products. They have a lot to offer; maybe I will try a different product.
Overall, I am not thrilled with the Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Moisture Lotion. I think it is personal opinion whether of not you will like this product. I will definitely finish the bottle, but will not be purchasing it again. It is too thick and the smell is too overwhelming for my taste.

Post a CommentI agree with you the lotion is thick and feels like a mask on my face. I was excited to try this new product by Garnier and was hoping it would work for me. But it's not as good as Yves Rocher products I've discovered. I love the bio specific line for the face for dehydrated skin (which I feel my skin is sometimes) it leaves my skin soft and very moisturized and hydrated. It's also very light not heavy like the Garnier Skin Renew lotion. The only thing is that I haven't found a store that sells Yves Rocher products but I order online and they always include a FREE gift even a Free gift on your birthday :) and not only that they stay behind their products 100%
