Garry's Mod Video Game Review

If you play computer games and are getting bored of the same games over and over again, I suggest you try Garry's Mod. If you have Steam, which is the engine for Half Life, for games like Counter Strike and Deathmatch; you could download Garry's Mod for about $10.

Garry's Mod is different from all the games you've ever played. The purpose of the game is just to have fun; you can build things, set up characters from most of the Half-Life games, and make them do crazy things. You can spawn other live characters and try to fight them, it never gets old.

When it comes to the building of structures in this game, it can get a little bit tricky. There are a lot of guides on the internet on how to build. You can build anything from forts, cars, and catapults. There are, however, many more things to do in the game. Just use your imagination.

One of the most important parts of this game is playing with others. If you do not play with other players it will get extremely boring. Just call a few of your friends that have Steam, convince them to buy Garry's Mod and have them download it. Once they have it, go on a server, or create your own and start having fun! Walk them through some of the things at first because the game controls are a little tricky as well.

I have personally played this game for hours with a couple of friends. That's all it takes, we came up with the most amazing fort ever. We decorated it and had buttons to open doors and everything. We even booby-trapped some areas so that if you push a button to open a door, it triggers a dynamite explosion, killing the fool that originally wanted to get in through the door. It's a lot of fun to set traps for your friends and have them fall for them. You can also take screenshots, as in any other Half Life game, and show it off to other friends of yours so you could convince them to get the game that way also.

Next time you are bored, find a way to download Garry's Mod. I rate this game a 7.5 out of 10. It is really fun, the only bad thing is that it gets boring if you play by yourself! Get your game on!
