Gary Coleman played Arnold on Different Strokes, and is known for his roles on Facts of Life, and Good Times. More recently he has made many appearances on shows such as Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the Drew Carey show, and son of the beach. He was also recently on The Surreal Life. But he is probably the most famous for his line "What'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?".
The Star has congenital kidney disease which halted his growth at an early age, which led to his small stature. Coleman and Price met on the set of 2006 comedy "Church Ball". She says his height doesn't matter to her, she said she just really likes his personality. Price said she proposed to Coleman, but he surprised her on her birthday with the mountain top wedding. Coleman has said that this is his first romantic relationship. Coleman said "I wasn't saving himself, she just happened to be the one".
It seems a lot of celebrities are slow to get married or try to keep their weddings a secret. This doesn't seem to make sense, it seems that if you had found "the one" you wouldn't want to hide it. But being in the limelight can be hard on relationships. Many Hollywood couples don't make it past their first anniversary. Keeping their love and their weddings secret from the media might be helpful in making a marriage in Hollywood last.
Have you ever just started dating someone, and had to read about the details on the cover of a magazine. Have you ever had to read speculation on whether or not your relationship was working or rumors that you were getting a divorce. Probably not, thats why it is so hard for most of us to understand why people would want to hide their love for each other. I met my husband I had a demanding job, and a pretty high stress life, it was hard finding time between everything else to date.
I couldn't imagine trying to date and looking for "the one" while you have paparazzi following you around and detailing your every move. Relationships are hard enough without the added stresses and problems being a celebrity bring to it. Its no wonder that celebrities try to hide their personal lives from the media. We should be more considerate to the peoples private lives, and understand why they might not want their personal relationships public knowledge. Hopefully for Gary Coleman and Shannon Price everything will work out, and they have already lasted a lot longer then other celebrity couples.
