Gary Coleman Hospital Photos Sold to Globe by Ex-Wife Shannon Price
Gary Coleman Death Pictures Hit Stands This Week.
What's more sick about this situation is Globe Magazine has purchased the photos. "We bought the photos," Samantha Trenk, spokeswoman for Globe, said to CNN. Trenk would not say how much Globe paid for the photos. During the auction of the photos, rumors circulated that the estimated selling price was in the five-figure range. Even if the final price was a million, it is an insult to Gary Coleman's memory. Reports from TMZ and CNN claim Shannon is expected to get a cut from the Globe photo sale. Naturally.
After Coleman's death, Shannon had a problem with his parents concerning funeral arrangements. Now, Shannon has to deal with Dion Mial, Gary's former manager and executor of his will. Mial expressed his disgust concerning Shannon's actions in an email to CNN. Now these two are going back and forth at each other in the media. In the meantime, Coleman's lifeless body is still at Lake Hills Mortuary in Utah pending cremation. It is still unclear where Gary's remains will go.
If Gary knew what kind of shenanigans Price would pull after his death he wouldn't have placed so much trust in her. First, Gary mumbled to Mial to make sure Shannon was taken care of if something happened to him. Second, Gary signed an advanced healthcare directive granting Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf, if he was unable to do so. Divorced or not, Price had the authority to tell Gary's doctors to cut off his life support.
