Did Gary Giordano have an insurable interest in the life of Robyn Gardner? Usually when you purchase insurance of any type you need an "insurable interest" What this means is you need to have a financial interest in the item or person you are insuring. Like for instance it is perfectly logical to take insurance out on your spouse because if you lose your spouse's income you may be left in a position or life style that is less desirable than the situation you are currently in.
