Discover Open Road Card- These gas credit cards start out with a 0% APR for the first six months and then 10.99% there after. There is no annual fee, but most of all you recieve a 5% cash back bonus for any gas purchases or auto maintenance. In addition, you can receive 1% on all other purchases, plus 5%-20% cash back when you buy from their shopping site.
So basically you spend $50 on gas you get back $5 for all those math majors out there. Alright, I'm kidding. Seriously though if you want a big name with benefits the Discover Open Road gas credit cards may be for you.
Chase Bank Perfect Card MasterCard- Chases gas credit cards offer 0% APR as well for the first six months and then a 11.24% APR. Again there is no annual fee and you recieve 6% on gas purchases. Then the rest revolve around 1% on all other purchases. One thing I noticed about Chase is that they have no setup or maintenance fees which is always a bonus.
Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Mastercard- According to the Easy Apply Bank Cards website the beginning APR is not available so I'm not sure if that means they aren't telling you or if they just don't have one. However the APR shown is 9.74% with no annual fee and 5% cash back on all gasoline purchases. Wait a minute, it says here in the "see details" section that the Intro APR is 0% on BT for the first twelve months.
These gas credit cards offer the Rewards Program which consists of extra benefits for you. The program itself is free and you can receive a $50 gift card, 5 points for every dollar you spend and several other things you'll be able to see there.
BP Rewards Visa- Gas credit cards here are also from Chase Bank. There is no APR the first 6 months and then 14.24% is the ongoing offer. If you are strictly a BP gasoline user then this card may entice you with a 10% gas rebate on purchases along with double the amount for the first two months. After all of this there are four other benefits right from the get go with these gas credit cards. However, the fifth one goes is an interesting charity donation.
Keep in mind that even though these are considered gas credit cards they can be used for other purchases. Its a way for you to not only buy everything you normally buy, but also get money back to use on that next tank of gas for work. Easy Apply Bank Cards has several options outside of these that I will go over in several articles to come. Hopefully something like this might take the strain out of your monthly budget which has been going towards gas for quite some time.

Post a CommentClassy Momma has a good point. Just looking around and intrigued with the talent you have being able to write about anything. I have more to say, but I will be a good girl, for now :)
If you're someone who is sure to pay in full each month, it would be silly not to have one of these card and get the cashback. Good advice! I just wish they made a credit card that could be used for gas and just gas, but at any gas station, and still offered teh 5% back.
DrDevience has the right approach! Excellet piece, Michael! It's been awhile..just came by to chek on ya. Still not getting all of my alerts. Looking forward to reading what i missed from you.
I'd never even thought of this, but you're so right. Not for us!!
Sorry I'm not logged in right now. BUT, the best thing of all is to not be using plastic at all! Even if you have a standing policy of not carrying a balance, sticking to it is difficult.
Unless you can pay the balance in full every month it will not be a money maker. I agree with the EVIL comment.
I should get one of these.
Great article, with gas so high these days, $4.05 for premium where i live, having a gas card could be very convenient.
Very informative work Michael!
Yeah, all I need is another credit card. LOL. Great info. I'll just keep paying cash for that gas...
