Too many Americans are gas-guzzling goons who think oil is a plentiful commodity that is being unfairly controlled by the evil empires of the Middle East. These lead-footed fools have no idea why the price of gasoline is so high and think cheap gas is their God-given right, a perk rather than a privilege, which should always be easy to get.
Wake up America and smell the crudeness. Why is the price of gas so high? Here are three reasons:
1. The world's crude oil supplies have reached peak production and are now diminishing. There is less oil, and the remaining oil is more difficult and costly to pump out of the ground.
2. Most of the oil is in the Middle East, and since production has peaked the cost of barrels from current reserves is much higher.
3. America is a gas-hog nation with a suburban landscape dependent on cheap, plentiful fuel.
Americans who fill their tanks with $5 gas and complain at the pumps are dimwits. They are ignoramuses with narrow views of the world. The high price of gas is their own fault, not the fault of the Middle East or other powers that be outside the USA.
Who's to blame? Why not start with America's leaders? Every asinine American who voted for George W. Bush should be slapped in the face every time they fill up one of their gas-guzzling vehicles and blame the nations of Islam for the painful pinch to their pocketbooks.
It's not the faults of the world's oil-rich countries that the price of gas is so high. It's the fault of every American stupid enough to believe in a corrupt political system that uses propaganda to start wars in the name of freedom only to preserve a lion's share of the black gold beneath the ground.
America is in decline. She's hobbled and humbled. Ignorant Americans will never admit that karma has come back to bite the land of the free in the ass and remind it that the world never forgets. Thick-headed Yankees who point accusing fingers at the so-called evil Middle East for the high price of gas need to remember how the good old USA became the richest country in the world.
First, Americans killed native Indians for land. Then, they killed native Mexicans for land. They stole land from others in the name of a Christian God and with the arrogant belief that it was God's will. Throughout America's brief history as the strongest country in the world it has wreaked havoc on the planet, taking whatever it wants.
Those days are over. Every American who thinks fossil fuel should forever be theirs for the taking is an idiot who deserves bad karma as a harsh lesson in humility.

Post a CommentLike you said, America's entire infrastructure has for the last century evolved around the automobile, and therefore oil. The arrogant unwillingness to deal with the problem is as bad as being unwilling to responsibly use of our own resources until we develop better ways of making energy. We have to meet in the middle; we drill here, but only if we develop better alternatives here. And, yes, there is indeed a sense of entitlement in America nowadays. That has to stop yesterday!
