Sin is sin to God, so it doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, a drinker, or a habitual liar, it's all the same in Gods eyes. Technically, nobody is worthy of going to church. However, Jesus died on the cross for us so that we could be redeemed. None of us are faultless, only God is perfect. Christians are only human and are by no means free from sin. Nobody is perfect except for God. We shouldn't be judging and condemning others when we are imperfect too. God commands us to love each other, including gay people. How is trying to keep them out of church showing them love? Being gay may be a sin, but there are hundreds of other things that are considered sins too.
We all sin and we all need to repent. What better place to repent than a holy place of worship? As long as they are not hurting anyone, or trying to convert everyone, we should let them be. All hell is not going to break lose just because gay people go to church. Letting the gay community into the church does not corrupt the building or make it unholy. Gay people are just like everyone else except for their sexual orientation. God gives us the choice of what to do with our personal lives, and if someone chooses to be gay that's their own decision.
When a person goes to church, they go to take care of their own religious needs, and should not be worried about the private lives of the other people there. People go to church to worry about there own salvation, and shouldn't be worried about who else is there. Allowing the gay population to attend church does not mean that you agree with their choices or condone their behavior in any way. Trying to keep the gay population out of church isn't the Christian thing to do.
