If you are looking for the perfect place to spend this Valentine's Day, and you have a little money to spend, why not consider Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort? This romantic resort has won many local honors including two of The Tennessean's "Best Places to Kiss" in Nashville as well as awards for "Most Romantic Meal" and "Best Wait Staff." These kudos plus its beautiful setting make Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, the perfect place to spend a romantic holiday. Some of the romantic trappings you will find at Opryland Resort this year include:

Romantic Memories Package: Gaylord Opryland Resort offers the Romantic Memories package where guests are greeted with a VIP check-in, followed by chilled champagne and strawberries delivered to their room. This package also includes a romantic evening cruise on of one Opryland's Mississippi-style Delta River Flatboats, a gourmet chocolate on your pillow, breakfast in bed and a late check-out, making it a perfect overnight romantic getaway.

General Jackson Showboat: If you yearn for something bigger than a flatboat, you will love the General Jackson Showboat! The General Jackson was named by a local paper as one of the "Best Places to Kiss" in Nashville. The 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat is offering romantic Valentine's dinner cruises on February 13 and 14. Guests will receive a gourmet dinner featuring filet of beef tenderloin and Chilean sea bass. Afterwards, diners can enjoy dancing and live music by the Craig Duncan Orchestra.

Romantic Restaurants: Two of Gaylord Opryland's finest restaurants are offering Valentine's Day specials for people whose passions involve good food! The beautiful Garden Conservatory Atrium in Ristorante Volare will offer a four-course meal for Valentine's Day under twinkling lights. Choices for the main entrée range from roasted duck breast, Maine lobster medallions and black grouper filet to Australian rack of lamb and veal filet mignon. Old Hickory Steakhouse, winner of the "Most Romantic Dinner" and "Best Wait Staff" local awards, will serve Chateaubriand for two, including butter-poached grass-fed beef and a gourmet chocolate dessert. Diners will enjoy their meal in an antebellum-style mansion overlooking the river and water fountains of the Delta Atrium.

Michael W. Smith to Lead Worship: My favorite package is the one that permits guests to spend a weekend with Nashville's Grammy Award and Dove-Award-Winning Christian artist Michael W. Smith & Friends during a special Valentine's Day concert and worship weekend at Gaylord Opryland Resort, February 13-15. The two-night room and concert package includes a ticket to see Smith perform during the Grand Ole Opry; a dessert reception and dance after the Opry, DJ'd by Smith himself; a Valentine's Day dinner and concert on Saturday with music, comedy and special guests; plus a Sunday morning worship service.

Rick Springfield in Concert: While not actually performing at Opryland Resort, popular rocker and former General Hospital star Rick Springfield, will perform on February 13 and 14 at the Wildhorse Saloon. A special Rick Springfield vacation package is available, with one-night accommodations at Gaylord Opryland Resort. Packages include a room, transportation to the Wildhorse Saloon and a ticket to one of his concerts.

Relâche Spa: An add-on to any package or a separate treat all by itself is a trip to Relâche, the Spa at Gaylord Opryland. For Valentine's Day, you might enjoy the Chocolate Sensation Experience, featuring the Chocolate Sensation Facial, Chocolate Sensation Massage, Chocolate Sensation Silk Wrap or the Sole Sensation Pedicure. It sounds good enough to eat!

With all this to choose from, you can see why Gaylord Opryland Resort might be the perfect choice for your romantic Valentine's Day in 2009.
