Gazelle in White

nutuba
Gazelle in white, eyes deeper than that summer sky,

The aisle caressed your feet as your smile warmed your lips

And for a time I quite forgot why I was there --

Our love embraced, together from the chalice sipped.

Gazelle in white, so soft, the hour most magical,

A monumental pinnacle of love surfaced.

With eighty, ninety people there, I saw but you,

The phoenix love, rising in life above the mist.

Gazelle in white, I heard you say, "I do." I too.

A young man smiled at me and left so silently;

It was my former self, gone then forever more,

For we were joined as one, I with you, you with me.
