Gears of War 2 Title Update 4 & Weekend Event
Updates, Double XP & Tickers, Oh My
Double XP weekend is an event that spans from Friday to Monday morning allowing players to earn double the experience points they normally would. In addition to earning double the XP, winning teams will be given a bonus of 500 XP just for winning the game. This weekend the perfect time to level up and grab some online achievements in Gears of War 2.
If a new title update and a double XP weekend event was not already enough for Gears fans Fergusson has announced something special for horde mode in celebration of the 4th of July and it goes something like this:
"And to give a little extra bang to Horde we're bringing the Ticker squad (a group of Tickers that all spawn at the same time) into full effect. They'll be showing up a lot more throughout all the waves of Horde and they've completely infested every 10th wave with nothing but Tickers. So if you've been having trouble with Bloodmounts, this weekend is a good time to get your Horde on and get further than ever before. And don't forget that TU4 will give you experience for every wave you beat."
So there you have it. A new title update, double XP + victory bonuses, and a special ticker-infested horde wave are sure to make an explosive weekend for any Gears of War 2 fan. Be sure not to miss out on the festivities as the fun stops on the morning of July 6th. See you online.

Post a CommentThank you for commenting on my article James. If I understand correctly you're saying that it made too easy? Well perhaps it is true and although I myself did not play Horde at all this weekend you've got it hand it to Epic for thinking of something creative to do with their assets in light of this weekend. And yes, the overload of tickers only lasts this weekend.
My friends and I are playing the Horde and this update is an abomination. Only Tickers on the 10th waves? If you're having so much trouble with Bloodmounts, GET BETTER. Hopefully this monument to human failure only lasts the weekend.
