Gears of War Review

Gears Of War is one game I could never get tired of. The first time I actually got to play the game was in fall 2007, nearly 1 year after the game came out. I never heard of the game, and so wasn't excited about it. But the moment the opening scene started, I got entranced by the beautiful graphics. The way the game started was something that really got me on my heels, since I had never seen any game with such beautiful graphics. I must admit, for a game which came out 2 years ago, its out of this world. The gameplay is another point that caught my attention, since I never came across an action game which had the cover system in it. The cover system is one of the high points of the game since it gives the realistic feel to it. Although, I must admit there were times when it got a little squeaky, but that was pretty rare. One minute disappointment however is the lack of a consistent story line. The story is interesting and creative, however, there isn't much in it since its pretty short and takes place over a period of two days. I suppose, Epic games just wanted to introduce the basic storyline of the Gears of war trilogy in the first game. However, I really must say that this is one game that everybody should try since it is something that can keep you on your toes for a couple days.
