There are multiple GED testing centers in the area. Atlanta Technical College at 1560 Metropolitan Parkway offers testing. For further information call 404-225-4468. The Atlanta Workforce Developement Agency offers free classes, also. Around five hundred students complete the course each year and receive their GED! There are classes in the morning and evening at no cost. You can enroll at any time. Call Marva Richardson at 404-658-6201 for more information and to enroll.
There are three other libraries that offer GED classes. East Point Branch offers classes Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am-12pm. Call them at 404-762-4842. Central Library also offers classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:30pm-8:30pm. Registration is only on the first Tuesday of every month.
If you would like to find other places and more information on getting GED help and the testing call the GED Administrator at the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education at 404-679-1621. Good luck!

it is sept 2009, none of this information is helpful any longer. update for those of us in need of assistance!
I'm sorry folks but this information is very outdated. The Dogwood Library at this time no longer offers GED classes; neither does the East Point Library. Currently in the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System, The Instructional Learning Center at the Central Library in downtown Atlanta has GED classes. For more information call the Learning Center at 404-730-1940
