Gem of a Golf Course Located in Chicago's West Suburbs

River View Miniature Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 42 course with nine ADA-designated holes to accommodate wheelchair access. Several of the holes have two cups, which make the difficult greens a little easier for children (and the young-at-heart looking for the easy way out). All of the greens are naturally landscaped with native grasses and flowering perennials. Bricks delineate each green, and concrete paths provide walkways between the holes. Interesting features found among the holes include a water wheel, miniature windmill, flowing waterfall and sand traps. Hole 18 features a large lighthouse with an automatic ball return. After playing a round, you can enjoy a treat from the refreshment stand while relaxing in the Victorian-style gazebo on the shore of the beautiful Fox River. If you don't want the fun to end after your refreshments, you can rent a pedal boat or canoe and traverse the Fox River for an hour. Nearby amenities include a nine-hole (full-size) golf course, tennis courts, ball fields, two outdoor swimming pools, and a community center.

Pedal Boats & Canoe Rentals
Steer pedal boats and paddle canoes along the scenic Fox River. Crafts launch daily from May 7 through August 11, 2011 from 11am-6pm (no rentals are available on June 11 & 12, July 4 or August 5). A valid driver's license or state ID is required as a deposit for the boat rental. Children under age 15 must share a craft with an adult.

Fee is $14 per hour/per craft, including life jackets and paddles. Rentals are subject to weather and safe river conditions.
