Gemini Sun Sign Astrology

Gemini begins on or about May 21and transits the horoscope through June 20. Known for quick mentality, the third sign of the zodiac is associated with the third house. This house indicates letters, communications, messengers, news, traveling.

Symbolized by the Twins, Gemini has a dual nature. Often portrayed as male and female, an androgynous nature is often suggested. Polarities come together such as right and left-brain comprehension and thinking. The balance between these is hermaphroditic, suggesting a holistic outlook.

Stellar symbols bring attention to the constellation Sirius, and particularly Procyon and Al Gomeize, which are two prominent stars in this constellation. Carrying through with the dualistic symbolism, Gemini is often portrayed as the keeper of the gate, one twin on each side, whereupon when a person is granted access through the gate, he or she finds the world of knowledge.

The planetary ruler of Gemini is Mercury, a planet that has a quick and erratic revolution around planet Earth. Mental agility, and a changeable nature find Gemini shifting and often less than predictable.

Being a communicator, Gemini, is like a butterfly and very at home in social settings. Gemini exudes a light and airy sort of charm. When at a party or get together, this native doesn't stay in any one place for long. They can truly be the life of the party.

Problems that may occur for Geminis show up in the hands, arms, lungs, and shoulders.

Gemini often has problems with verbosity, impulsiveness, and lack of concentration. A quick wit gives way to the temptation to be tricky when dealing with others.

Since ruled by an air sign, a Gemini is bothered by a cluttered airspace. Mobiles, wind chimes, and decorative items hanging from the ceiling are innervating to the light and airy consciousness of this sign.

Nerve conditions often affect the native Sun in Gemini personality. This type of nervous superficial energy leads to too much activity. A Gemini can work long and hard, but often operates on the secondary energy generated by nerves instead of vital energy coming from within. This is when overwork contributes to exhaustion. Walking and light outdoor exercise should be a routine part of life for the sake of relaxation if nothing else.
