There are many things that could contribute to your computer running slowly. There are many, many, things actually, that I would like to go into detail on that will help you, if you are having trouble, to be able to speed up your computer or even your internet connection as well.

If you find that your computer is running slowly at home there are a number of things that you should check for and do to speed it up. The first thing that you want to do is make sure that the recycle bin is empty. Sometimes having a lot of files in the bin can slow down system performance. The next thing you should do is run a virus check. Some times if you are on the internet and you pick up an unwanted Trojan or virus, this can slow do your computer. So can adware. Check for these things when you do your scan. Another thing you should check is your registry. You might want to download a registry scanner so that you can detect and repair any damaged registry files. This sometimes happens, when you change files or ad or uninstall certain programs. The last thing I would recommend doing is doing a system defrag. If you can defrag your system or compress files on your computer, you will be able to crease the speed. Also, on second thought, try and close down other programs that are not in operation or are operating in the background. This will also increase computer speed.

Finally, if you are having trouble with your internet connection while browsing, what you can do is clear your cache files or cookies in your browser. This will increase browsing speed. You can also delete temporary internet files and internet history to be able to search faster. All of these tips can help speed up PC performance.

If you are still experiencing problems after all of the solutions are tested, you can do an itnernet speed connection to see if the problem is actually with your provider or modem. If it is you may need to contact technical support. You can also do computer CPU tests that will allow you to test your computers performance. If it is low you may need to upgrade your memory or CPU. Keep good care of your computer at all times.
