Generous Graffiti Artist Just Wants to Share

It seems like graffiti vandals just want to share a little art with the community. At least that's the case in Boerum Hill.

Last week, an enigmatic graffiti vandal artist bombarded Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens with a simple "share" on various surfaces. Perhaps this is the inker's new tag. He or she struck most recently on October 2 on Smith Street's Bar Great Harry, President Street, and on the corner of Smith and Douglas.

While the tagger's message may be generous, police in the 76^th precinct aren't so thrilled. In fact, they're ready to share the experience of arrest with the culprit. In Brooklyn, the police don't view graffiti as art but more of a destruction of property. As a result, police are ramping up their patrols of the neighborhood.
