Genesis Chapter One Bible Study

Introduction-

General Statements:

Ch 1:

A. God had created the world in six days.

B. On the 7th day God had rested.

C. Man was created in God's own image.

D: All God made was good in his eyes.

E: Morning till evening is one day.

Correlations:

A: Due to reason I would assume this is six literal days.

B: Man needs at least one day set aside for God and fellowship

C: I would assume in a spiritual sense, eternal and formless.

D1: Due to our sins if evolution were true we have devolved.

D2: Of course we have not changed to another kind.

D3: Each thing was created to produce it's own kind.

E: Because of this I consider this a regular Hebrew day, sun up,

sun down.

CH.1

Order Things Were Created:

1. The heavens and earth

2. Light

3. Separation of LIGHT and DARKNESS

4. Expanse betw. the waters "sky"

5. Dry Ground "land + seas"

6. Vegetation

7. Lights in the expanse of the sky

8. Stars

9. Water creatures

10. Birds

11. Animal Reproduction

12. Land creatures (livestock and wild animals, creatures that move along the ground)

13. Man (Male Then Female)

14. Earth was complete

15. Seventh day (rest)

Why

1. Ground work for his creation at which was forming together by every word and thing at which he spoke into existence.

Note: As Christians, we want to be more like our heavenly father. Thankfully, God did not allow us to speak anything into existence at which we want. God consistently warns of the danger of the tongue. After thinking on how God said all he meant to and never wasted his words, then as Christians who want to be more Christ like we ought to mean what we say and spare our tongue curses, lies, useless chatter, hate, slander, insult, useless chastising (throwing pearls to swine), and ignorant speech (blasphemy, false gospel).

2. To shed light over all darkness.

Note: A picture that just comes to mind is Christ. He shined a light over my sins cloaked in darkness. He lifted my blindfold and set me on track, he sanctified me. After He pierced through my heart with the Holy Spirit, He forgave me for my sins when I came to him repenting for all my sins. And now he sheds a light on all things I do now. Yet I still sin.

3. Separate night from day.

Note: As I look at it I notice that night is called darkness. It seems that this separation was considered good and can be analogized w/ the separation between good and evil, good is compared with light, while darkness is compared with evil. Our sinful flesh has no purpose with our renewed spirits as Christians. Therefore we should live our lives separate from the world in that we restrain the flesh by praying to Christ, the only one who can get us to heaven, and by staying in the word away from things that would make us sin. And when we or another Christian dies, we shall rejoice and be happy that they are with God and have been separated from their flesh as night and day are separate, yet we should only spare our tears for the unsaved who suffer the fate of not restraining their flesh, because they refuse to accept and trust in Christ.

4. Provide the atmosphere for life past the sea life which will be later created.

Note: It's ironic how some will say, "God has done nothing for me", esp. when the very molecules that hold us together, and the very air we breath is borrowed from God and even then He has to provide it and use His power to hold it all together and work with each of us individually.

5. So it can be used.

Note: It is ironic how the guy who built the Titanic had said, "I have built a boat not even God can sink." Esp. since the very materials he used were taken from the land at which God had made with a simple word that spoke it into existence. In sense, what audacity could we humans have to say we build something greater than God when the very tools and materials we use are all from God.

6. Food, gas reproduction and recycling, and the first life on earth.

Note: How can we, men on God's creation stand bold against God when the very food we eat for vitamins is God given?

7. So we can have a definite difference from the days to mark the season and times of the year.

Note: It is funny how some will talk about mother nature when the very seasons we go on to decide what "Mother Nature" is doing were created and are held together by Christ.

8. More light.

Note: I heard from scientific studies that the stars emit some type of tones. I read in Psalms that the stars sing praises.

9. More life.

Note: After all man had fallen we had to eat the other life to sustain our vitamins at which plants used to have when they were created. This was probably done to show the severity of our sin.

10. More life.

Note: Earlier we (mankind) used to use birds to tell if there was dry land near by or on the path taken by sea. As I think about it, the birds at which God has created were used by men for direction. It just shows with out God's direction and help we would be no where.

11. Allows life to reproduce.

Note: It is strange how man says sometimes my parents had made me, and they created me. Esp. sense if it weren't for God we would not have been able or capable to reproduce. Not only that with all creations God had to speak things into creation. Flesh with no spirit is dead.

12. Creatures to be tamed, provide balance, and control. More life.

Note: Man was later given dominance over them, and yet we sometimes choose to act like them. Esp. when we say follow what your instincts say. Our instinct is to follow our flesh and emotions. Some of our qualities were given to us for tools and proper usage. If we follow what we feel then we ignore the brain that God has given us, and we can't use our various tools and qualities as God meant them to be used. For instance, any man with true intelligence and commonsense can tell that evolution is false and yet due to what we feel and not what we know we follow a theory that contradicts itself at such high extremes.

13. To dominate and rule the world.

Note: If we were created to rule world how can environmentalists say we are equal to the animals. How can a vegetarian complain about men killing an animal to sustain our own life. Of course in essence since we are so dominate over animals why abuse our power with senseless killing (pleasure) or beating an animal for no reason (pleasure). Therefore they can't be held above us, but we should not do senseless abuses to animals, and the punishment for animal murder deserves punishment not death. Seriously, would God senselessly kill anything.

14. For us to stay on.

Note: Of course after God had gave us such a beautiful place we had turned and given it all to Satan. So why should we get a second? We shouldn't, but God did not make us for hell. So later he sent his only Son to die for us. Yet even then some are so blinded by the creation that they do not see the gift that is right in front of their faces. Christ's crucifixion... Proof of it lay everywhere, bibles are everywhere, so I guess some people need to wake up. Jesus is as real as us all. And he gave us the second chance we need. What blinds people? False Gods (ALL RELIGION), deception (happily provided by Satan + his minions), and creation (our minds are limited and less than God's, we can only see our little block in life. Plus our minds are sinful.) are all things that we allow to confuse us.

15. I guess here he kind of set the example.

Note: In such a sinful world us Christians need rest. We need time with prayer and fellowship with Christians. It makes us stronger and gives us time to heal and rejuvenate. To be more Christ like we would want to follow his suggestion and example; therefore, we should rest for it is better for us.

Now people may ask why did God create us?

Well he created us for his good pleasure, but he did not do it in a selfish way. He want us to be happy while having a FREE WILL relationship with Him. So why did he bother putting us through this torture.

Well it wasn't He who made it so that we would live through this. It was our choice, and we blamed it on God see chapter two of Genesis. I'll discus that next week.

In Conclusion, God created the world in what I believed to be six literal days. He rested on the 7th day. Religion is made to separate Christians under the world while aide in putting the one world religion into play. Now if a Christian does not know what it means to be saved or says that they are not a born again Christian then they have deceived themselves. Same if they believe they are saved by works, penance, or a false God. If one does not acknowledge the trinity, all are one God= three persons. Jesus being the Son, God... The Holy Spirit being a person and God, not a force, and The Father being the One that decrees, then they are not Christian. Now, all that I say can be supported by the bible and if you find anything wrong with these statements that can't be supported then please tell me as soon as possible. I love constructive criticism and wisdom for only a fool rejects wisdom. Therefore God created the world and everything on it, so we must learn to trust in Him and none other. I say praise God for loving us so much.
