Now Geoff Ogilvy maybe a good golfer but I think he might be smoking something because what tournament/sponsor would not want Tiger to show up to their tournament to make his first public appearance/statement. In my opinion, that would be every tournaments/sponsors dream. When Tiger does decide to go on the record for the first time, every media outlet from California to China will be covering it. It could be gold for the sponsor. Sure, the tabloid stuff would probably frustrate some of the stiffs at these rich, prestigious country clubs but I bet they would get over it when their country club is getting attention in the press on every single continent. I mean just imagine, "Where do you play Golf?" "I play at the country club where Tiger made his first appearance after we learned that he was indeed human." I wouldn't care to be that guy or girl, assuming it is anywhere but the Master's (thanks Woodie).
I understand what Ogilvy is saying regarding players but not sponsors/tournaments.
