He sat looking through his binoculars across the parking lot. Soon it would begin. Soon he would be able to do his Duty as the Man had described. He wiped the sweat from his brow. The Man had told him to rent an apartment directly across from her. He had said that there was no reason to turn on the electricity; it would only leave a trail. We don't need trails. He wanted to do his Duty right away but the Man told him to watch, to study.

He had been watching her for two weeks. He knew her routine. Soon she would begin. She had to be taught a lesson. She couldn't keep doing this. She was sick. He had to cure her. He waited.

She came into his binoculars and he knew it would not be long now. He was ready. Like always she left the window open for anyone to see this abomination she was about to commit. He knew how long he had. He waited for her to start before he did. She began and so did he.

No one saw him cross the parking lot. No one wanted to see him. He waited for the sounds. The sounds told him she was no longer paying attention. He would be able to enter without her hearing him. He waited.

The sounds came. He knew how long he had. Quickly he opened the door and started down the hallway. He stopped to look at her and his fury grew greater. She had to be punished for this.

He continued down the hallway to the crib. He had practiced this many times but never on a human. He did not want to do it. The Man told him it was necessary. He believed the man. Soon it was over.

Now it was time for the message. The man had told him what the message was to be. He liked the message. The Man had told him she needed to know why she was being punished. Whore and Sinner he wrote from the blood.

He listened again for the sounds. He knew she was close to finishing. He had to leave. He stopped once more to watch her. He smiled. Soon she would be remorseful.

He opened the door and walked out. No one saw him walk to his car. He heard her scream as he shut his car door. His job was done. The Man would be happy.
