George Bush: A Boy and His Toys

Rainlillie
George Bush reminds me of a child, he gets fixated on a new toy every few months. We all can think back to our childhood around Christmas time, when you'd look at the catalogs and you've already picked out the perfect present for yourself. The one toy you thought about during the day and dreamed about at night. You knew once you got it, your life would be complete. George W. Bush has had a lot of toys first there was the:

The Failed oil companies toys:

Arbusto

Spectrum 7 Energy Corporation

Harken Energy

According to author Kevin Phillips although Bush's companies failed “he made millions.â€

The Texas Rangers Toy

"They never won anything on Bush's watch, and are oh for nine in the post-season since. Bush has stated the biggest regret of his adult life was having traded Sammy Sosa to the White Sox."

The Governor toy

Under George W. Bush, Texas has executed dozens of Death Row inmates whose cases were compromised by unreliable evidence, disbarred or suspended defense attorneys, meager defense efforts during sentencing and dubious psychiatric testimony, a Chicago Tribune investigation has found.â€

The Presidency toy

Just like my nephew who begged my sister for a puppy, he didn't realize how enormous the responsibility would be. He promised my sister he would walk him and clean up after him, after a week or so, he lost interest and put the burden on her shoulders. Eventually, she had to find another home for Champ.

During the 04 debates; the only honest thing Bush said was that this is†hard work.†I knew then that the new toy had worn out its welcome; he was looking for something else. The Iraq toy has bored him and he wants to move on, and Iran has now become his new fixation. Iran is that shinny toy that he would have to save up for years to buy, hopefully his parents will be wise enough to tell him that he's not quite ready for Iran, that maybe it's better left on the shelf.
