George Clooney Facts: Q&A on the Actor

Q. When was he born? A. The actor was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on May 6, 1961.

Q. What other jobs has he had? A. Before being an actor, George Clooney worked a summer job cutting tobacco which he describes as "miserable".

Q. Does he have hair plugs? A. The rumor about George Clooney having hair plugs is false. In fact, he says he actually has an advancing hairline (a widow's peak) that he shaves.

Q. Did he date Salma Hayek? A. Despite the rumors, George Clooney says that he has never dated Salma Hayek, Lucy Liu, or Vendala.

Q. Is he gay? A. "That's because I eat them" -- Responding to a website comment claiming the actor was gay because "he dates beautiful women and nothing happens and they disappear into oblivion."

Q. What led to his success? A. The actor says on success, "I did eight television series before 'ER' hit and if we didn't get a Thursday night at 10 o'clock time slot, you know, I wouldn't have the career that I have."

Q. How did he feel about playing his character on "Up In the Air"? A.
