George Lucas Reported to Be Re-making "Star Wars" in 3-D

George Lucas Reports Being Inspired by the "Avatar" Phenomenon for Re-making "Star Wars."

According to Access Hollywood, legendary director George Lucas is so impressed by what he calls "that movie," he mentions re-making the "Star Wars" movie again....but this time in 3-D.

As a fan of George Lucas I can't wait! Oh hold it...yes I can. See, George Lucas isn't just all about science fiction. Right now, he's writing and producing "Red Tails," a story about the Tuskegee Airmen. These brave men were America's first African/American pilots to fly in a squadron. It's about time this tale is told.

Has George Lucas ever had a movie tank? "Star Wars" wasn't his only film.

Yup. Believe it or not. Anybody who's tried all that a director can is bound to hit the pavement sometimes. It's his successes we'll remember him for. The guy just hits it out of the park sometimes. The "Star Wars" trilogy isn't his only success.

Will Star Wars in 3-D be worth it?

Didn't I just mention that George Lucas hits it out of the park...that part? Let's be clear here: The man could make a reasonably good film of a cat using his litter box. Star Wars in 3-D will not just be a flick I'm going to see. I'm taking my kids too. That story deserves to last for generations since the good guys win but they have to fight like hell.

You got some Golden Globes there George Lucas. "Star Wars" in 3-D is gonna rock!

It was at the HBO Golden Globes Party where, George Lucas mentioned his intentions, on January 18th. An established director such as he is, wouldn't make this sort of announcement if his intentions weren't sincere. When some people in Hollywood speak, you can almost feel the waves rippling all over the town.

A marketing point-of-view about the re-making of "Star Wars" in 3-D

For any of us who live on trends of the internet search activity, it's good knowledge to have, in advance. Now's a great time to begin developing "Star Wars" related content. While all of the business side of George Lucas' decision is well and good, it's that nine year old boy inside of me, who's eagerly awaiting the final production.

You'll want to be ready for "Red Tails" too, I'd bet. Thank you George Lucas.

I'd like to thank Access Hollywood for covering this. Also, thanks to Fandango, for helping me save face.

I think George Lucas should come up with something not derivative of Star Wars for a change.

i think he should totally remake it i like star wars but the stormtroopers were just awful he didnt have enough expendable characters and the graphics could be uped

I dunno. A mind like Lucas's might just pull it off. Star Wars should be updated. The Death Star had analog computers.

Let's be clear, this is the shittest idea ever. The final coffin in George Lucases creativity. I will never 'pay' top watch it!

George Lucas always creates magic...he reminds me of a certain AC writer whose initials are Donald Pennington..:)

I'm married to a Star Wars geek, so I suppose we'll have to see Star Wars in 3-D, too! ;)

    My pain? LOL! Lucas rocks.

This 3-D thing is really catching on. It would be cool on an IMAX theater.
