According to Coming Soon, Warner Bros. Has set the "Justice League movie in higher priority then the Superman Return sequel.
George Miller, who just had success with his children's film "Happy Feet", is highly interested in directing the film.
George Miller is best known for directing the Mad Max films, which include Mad Max, The Road Warrior and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. His also wrote the first Babe film and directed the sequel, "Babe: Pig in the City".
The heroes in The Justice League movie would be Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern. No mention of Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.
It's unknown if Christian Bale or Brandon Routh will reprise the roles as Batman and Superman.
The film will be written by Kiernan and Michele Mulroney.
"The Justice League of America has been a perennial favorite for generations of fans, and we believe their appeal to film audiences will be as strong and diverse as the characters themselves," Warner president of production Jeff Robinov said in announcing the hiring of the Mulroneys.
The casting depends on which story arc Warner Bros. will use and at which point in the heroes lives the movie takes place, According to Coming Soon.
Warner Bros. is currently developing a Wonder Woman film and a Flash film (to be directed by Shawn Levy). The Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight is currently filming and the Superman Returns sequel, Man of Steel is set for a 2009 release date.
It's unknown when it will start shooting but Warner Bros. is seriously stepping forward with a Justice League film.

NO!!!! Superman Returns Sequel must be made before Justice League! I like Superman! Justice League is good but we need Superman way more! Can't wait for Superman: The Man of Steel!
