George Strait, a country music legend will be hitting the road in 2012 with Martina McBride on tour promoting his latest album, "Here for a Good Time." The duo have toured together before and promise a very special night of music for those in attendance at the 2012 concerts.
The tour, which has yet to be officially named, will kick off in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Cajun Dome on January 27, 2012. The tour will next hit the state of Arizona before going on to a big show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Next Straight and McBride will go back to the southern states of Georgia and Florida before heading back out west to Oklahoma followed by Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and back to Kansas City, MO on February 25, 2012.
Strait's new album "Here for a Good Time" is his 24th album of his career to debut at No. 1 on the charts. The self titled single just went No. 1 last week and became the 58th No. 1 song for Strait. "Here for a Good Time" is a little bit special though because Straight co-wrote this song with his son, Bubba. It is the first No. 1 song for him that he also had a part in writing. The new album contains 11 new songs.
With the latest single, going No. 1, George Strait has become the top artist in history with the most No. 1 hit singles, even beating out Elvis Presley.
