George W. Bush Presidential Memoirs: 'Decision Points' to Be Released November 2010

I don't know about you, but I'm eager to read the memoir from the president who was personally responsible for the 9/11 attacks, hurricane Katrina, the subsequent flooding and devastation in New Orleans, global warming and virtually every, single misstep and mistake of the Obama administration for the last two years.

The latter is a pretty remarkable achievement for a man that liberals regularly called a "dumb cowboy." Especially considering that he hasn't actually been in office or the public eye for two long years.

I mean, I guess it wasn't enough that he was brutally slammed, mocked, ridiculed and treated with utter disdain and contempt for eight years. But, now, that he's finally not president, he's still getting kick. But, hey, it's Dubya we're talking about here, not Obama. He can actually take it.

Decision Points, the presidential memoir by George W. Bush, is being called "strikingly personal." Not surprising when you consider the kind of man George W. Bush actually is. He was never one for pretense or airs, so why go there now? It's just not his style.

In his memoirs, President Bush opens up about his well known and documented struggles with alcohol, 9/11, the financial crisis and of course, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. What is notably absent, however, is any criticism of the present, sitting president, Barack Obama. Surprised? I'm not. Again, it's not his style.

Say what you want about the intellect of George W. Bush or the lack thereof, the man has class and an abiding sense of what it means to be a decent human being. While I am certain he likely has plenty to say or personal grievances to air behind the closed doors, you will never hear George W. Bush publicly condemning, criticizing or attacking a sitting president.

And given the example his father set by refusing to condemn or criticize his own predecessor, chances are you'll never hear George W. Bush criticize or condemn anything that President Obama does. Too bad the man who has been called one of the most brilliant presidents ever to be elected to the office can't seem to find it in himself to do the same.
