Hardtails Bar and Grill, the hottest spot to come to Georgetown, Texas is located about 30 miles north of Austin right on the Interstate. Hardtails Bar and Grill opened on Labor Day weekend 2009, right next door to Hog Alley motorcycle shop, owned by the same family - but it is way more than a Biker Bar. In fact, on a daily basis you may find bike club members eating lunch right beside the ladies from Sun City retirement area. All patrons, including children are welcome until 4 pm but after that, it is 21 and up only because after all...it is a "Bar and Grill".

Awesome Atmosphere
Once you enter this establishment, you will be amazed at all of the great metal work and recycled art. The building was under construction for several years due to the amazing amount of personal effort that was put into using recycled materials including auto and motorcycle parts on the walls and throughout the restaurant. Some of the artwork is truly amazing, along with a partial bomb that has "crashed" into a column by the bar. They also have one of the world's only customized "Big Ass Fans" which slowly rotates to provide a nice gentle breeze. This place is so interesting, even the bathrooms are cool.

Live Music and Events
Hardtails Bar and Grill has several nights of live music each week featuring local artists, including an acoustic night, at least 2 nights of high voltage rock, fun karaoke and the occasional DJ. Dancing occurs spontaneously, usually after the drinks start to flow a bit - and they do have a great bar, both inside and out. Pool and poker tournaments are offered, along with game day parties, free pool nights and daily drink specials. Special events have included benefits and holiday parties including a cancer benefit bike run, Halloween costume contests and of course a rockin' New Years Eve party.

Great Food
Hardtails Bar and Grill features hand-formed hamburgers with a variety of toppings. My personal favorite is "The Tejas" burger which features refried beans, cheddar cheese, jalapenos and Fritos jammed on top of the patty - may sound gross but is delicious, one of those drip down your chin kind of burgers. Others may prefer one of the many other burger offerings with catchy biker names like "The Outlaw", "The Iron Head" or "The Screaming Eagle".

If burgers are not your style, there is a full entrée menu along with appetizers, sandwiches and soups. The "Big Ass Wings" are a personal favorite as appetizer or entrée and come in three flavors, "mild", "medium" and "HOT"....and they are hot! I also enjoy the "Texas Cheese Steak" which comes with hand cut potato chips that were awesome or can be replaced with fried or onion rings. Though I haven't eaten everything on the menu, I have eaten a lot of it because I love this place. My only problem is that I haven't seen much of the night time activity since I have kids and it certainly isn't a place for them after 4 pm.

As Hardtails Bar and Grill is foremost... a bar, the bar is complete with a full selection of bottled beer, both domestic and import, 8 on tap beers, a good selection of wines, and of course a full bar offering specialty drinks, premium liquors and well drinks. The establishment also has a complete bar on the back patio and is rapidly transforming the back yard to include an outdoor sound stage, picnic tables and a beer shack that is built in an old chicken coop. If you are in the Austin or Georgetown area, or anywhere in Central Texas, biker or not - this is a must see.
