Georgetown Volvo in Smithtown, New York - A Wonderful Experience

When most car dealerships see a young woman come in to look around I feel they treat you differently than if you were with a man. I hate to sound sexist but this has been my experience in the past. Just recently I was in the market for a new car and I did my homework and shopped around. I went by myself because my husband was working. I must have went to more than a dozen different dealerships and I found the same thing happen. I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. The only place that treated me like I was an actual customer was Georgetown Volvo in Smithtown NY. What a great experience.

As soon I was walked in I was greeted with a smile and a friendly face. They even asked me if I wanted coffee while I was waiting. Wow. How lovely. I walked around a bit looking at the different selections but I already had a good idea of what I wanted. I wanted the XC90 SUV. I had been eying that for quite some time. One of the salesmen came up to me, his name is Frank by the way if you want to go there. What a nice man. He spent a ton of time with me going over different leasing packages that would best suit my needs. I was sold. I ended up signing up for a 2 year lease on my brand new XC90 SUV.

Their customer service department is great. I usually bring my 2 year old son with me when I drop off my car. I tell them I am waiting for it and they put a rush on it knowing that I have my son with me. They have a playroom in the back so my son could be occupied while we wait. They serve you fresh bagels and butter or cream cheese if you are hungry. They have a coffee, tea, hot chocolate machine that they pay for. You just tell them that you want a cup and they get it for you.

When your car is in the back getting serviced they will call you up to the desk and explain what is going on. They will tell you what they have found and what they can do for you. They will always ask you first before doing any major work so you aren't surprised at the end when presented with a huge bill. Sometimes I don't understand what they are talking about but they are always patient and explain it differently so I could understand.

I will only lease Volvo cars from now on because I love their customer service department so much. I even drive 30 minutes to get there because the local one by me I heard was horrible. About a week later someone from their main office will call you to make sure you were satisfied with their service. I forgot to mention you can get a Volvo loaner car if your repairs are going to take more than a day to fix. Luckily I haven't had to use this service but I am happy to know it's their if I do need it.

I give Georgetown Volvo of Smithtown an A++.
