Last week I had the awesome opportunity to see Benny Hinn at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and music ministry. The only issue with going to a late night meeting in Atlanta is trying to find somewhere to eat after the session. I actually looked for a place open downtown Atlanta around 11:30 p.m., but I just couldn't seem to find anything. Since I reside in Lawrenceville, Georgia, I decided to head back in my direction to see what I could find and then a friend of mine suggested a place called Georgia Diner in Duluth, Georgia.

I drove to the Georgia Diner and there it was buzzing with lots of people and activity at almost midnight. When you walk into the Georgia diner you will be a little taken back by the decor. They have lovely crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling that look like they belong in a country manor and not a 24 hour diner in Georgia. The interesting decor doesn't stop there as they have beautiful wall paper that looks like it's Indian inspired with the purple tented color and beautiful gold leafing. Once I finished admiring he decor, I noticed there was something else that you won't see at your typical diner and that is a section of the diner that is dedicated to retail space. In this retail space you can purchase anything from a watch and other jewelry to a wonderful new Spring dress or top. This is not your average diner for sure!

It was almost midnight, so it was time to get down to the business at hand and that was to find some good eats! I am a breakfast person, so I ordered the pancakes that come with eggs anyway you like it and a strip of bacon. Unfortunately, I did not care much for the breakfast as the pancakes were a little dry and the syrup was less than desirable. However, I decided to change my order and order a nice juicy burger and fries and I am happy to report that it was a better choice. The burger was not only on the special menu for $4.00 but it came with a good portion of fries. The burger was cooked well on the grill and finished with tomatoes, lettuce and pickles.

The Georgia Diner not only serves breakfast and burgers, but you can have just about anything you want. There were people there eating chef salads and some where enjoying spicy chicken wings. Surprisingly, Greek food is a speciality at Georgia Diner. They have Spanakopita which is an appetizer or can be ordered as an entree filled with creamy spinach and feta cheese served with buttery rice in a flaky pastry. Their gyro comes with thinly sliced tender lamb inside pita bread and topped with lettuce, tomatoes and onions.

The Georgia Diner is located at 1655 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, Georgia 30096. Georgia Diner is a great place for after event parties or birthdays. Bottom-line: Convenient location, Good food and the prices are extremely reasonable.

We lived in NJ, the home of diners, for nearly 36 years and always enjoyed diners. Didn't think they had many in Ga so we will definitely keep this one in mind. Love your reviews, very descriptive.
