Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston: Is This a Match Made in Movies?
Gerard Butler has apparently been wooing The Bounty co-star Jennifer Aniston as of late. Pictures of the two getting cozy have surfaced in tabloids and entertainment blogs, leading a trail of journalists frantically tallying Jen's previous beaus.
Now granted, a match between Hollywood's nice guy actor and Hollywood's sweetheart actress might lead to the perfect ending in a movie. But what does Jennifer Aniston's previous relationship history lead us to conclude about success with her new flame?
First it was Brad Pitt. Let's not go there again. Then it was Vince Vaughn. Now there's a painful one to bring up. Next it was John Mayer. Really, Jen? The soft-spoken, tattooed singer never seemed like much of a match. Most recently, it was The Hangover star Bradley Cooper. And now her next target is Gerard Butler.
I guess I have to hand it to her for her taste this time around. I've been a fan of Gerard Butler since I saw him in The Phantom of the Opera, and to me, dating Gerard makes more sense than hanging out with Vince Vaughn or John Mayer. But as anyone knows, a Hollywood relationship never lasts long, and you'd think Jen would have learned her lesson by now. She's stated before that she doesn't intend on getting married again, and according to PopBytes.com, I'm not the only one who thinks she should look for someone who's not even remotely involved with show business. There's even talk of her using Gerard Butler as revenge against Bradley Cooper for cheating on her.
As for Gerard Butler, I can only hope the best for him. He seems like a very genuine actor, which is rare to find in Hollywood, and I'd hate to see him get smeared and ruin his fairly clean reputation. He's done well for himself in maintaining longevity in his acting career (something many actors find elusive).
So which side will you take? If you're optimistic, you'll think Jen and Gerard are a great match. If you're a little on the pessimist side, however, you're going to be counting the days 'til Jen's next break-up. Until then, let's hope they at least keep it together until The Bounty is released.

Give them a break! Gerard Butler himself said recently they're not dating but he does find her sexy. Maybe they're having a harmless fling (they're both single after all) that will last for as long as they want it to last and then they'll move on to the next set and the next person. I say why not? If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't mind a couple of flings with the handsome Mr. Butler. Who said she has to marry him?
