Briefly, let me tell you about the fine places to visit in Germany.
1) Bonn, the former capital of West Germany: in the region of the government block, until now still shows great power & spirit as the headquarters for the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces).
2) Cologne is the most ancient German city. The Cologne cathedral in Germany is very large & undoubtedly one of the prominent cathedrals in the world.
3) The following city, Bremen, is an advisable place to visit especially to the Marktplatz (Market square) where is located the town hall, parliament & St. Peter's Cathedral.
4) The city compulsorily for visit while touring Germany is Hamburg, which was one of the first cities of the republics of Europe. In the city there are 2400 bridges, it is more than in Venice, Amsterdam, & London combined together.
5) Also, the small town Lubeck warrants a tourist's attention. Lubeck is unique: the largest German port on the Baltic Sea. The Hanseatic City of Lübeck is thus far the only city, whose entire historical center was declared UNESCO as part of the world cultural heritage because of its Brick Gothic architectural heritage.
6) Bavaria where the Neuschwanstein Castle stands. The stupendous castle is built on top of a mountain & in theatrical flamboyance, which had provided the inspiration for the Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty fairytale castles in several establishments of Disneyland.
7) Most certainly Berlin! Berlin is the capital of unified Germany. You descend to the excursion in Parisier Platts, the Reichstag, the Museum Island, the preserved section of the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg gates, & etc. The cleanliness & order of the Germans in Berlin will simply strike one silly. The city is very clean!
You may want to save up on a trip to Germany as the Euro is known to date, stronger than the US dollar. Germany is also the leading economic nation of Europe where its standard of living is high. You could end up buying some things that cost almost double than in the US.
