With old school dance styles such as break dancing, electro funk (robotic dancing), popping and others making its way back into movies, T.V. shows, contests and music videos, there is a lot to be learned by the new generation.

Movies like "You Got Served" started the trend of bringing street dancing back. Now you have movies such as "Step It Up 2", and T.V Shows like "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew". As the popularity and competition grows, dancers are forced to improve and gain new material. Why not dip into the old school archives and do some research?

In the eighties, films such as "Breakin'", "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" and "Beat Street" started the "Breakin'" craze in the U.S. and abroad with its music and outrageous dance moves. These films and their soundtracks along with some of the "How to..." videos that were put out in the eighties are great references for current dancers and recording artists who are looking to improve their style. One resource that is packed with style, talented dance groups and great moves is "Music Instructor".

Created in Germany during the late nineties, "Music Instructor" was an electro/hip hop/dance music project that featured various recording artists and dance groups. Between 1995 and 2001 they released 12 singles, 2 full length albums and 11 videos.*

Their most popular songs were "Super Sonic", "Rock Your Body", "Super Fly" and "Get Freaky". The video for "Supersonic" is one of their best featuring great music and dancing skills. The "Get Freaky" song was made popular by its video that features "Abe" from the "Oddworld" video game. Click on the link below to check out the videos for these songs on Youtube.com.
