Watch Football on Your PC and Save Money Over Satellite Only Options
Recently, DirecTV has announced that it will allow football fans in New York City to watch NFL Sunday ticket through broadband only connections without having to purchase the full DirecTV NFL Sunday package. Many DirecTV subscribers pay a nearly $300 a season to watch all of their football games on TV and included in that price is an extra charge of $100 to get a package that allows football fans to watch the games of their favorite NFL teams through the Internet. For many blue-collar football fans this price is too steep.
While DirectTv was happy with the football viewing revenues the NFL wanted to branch out to fans who could only watch football games through their computers and other online mediums. In order to appease these rabid football fans the NFL had to find a way to allow the purchase of Internet only football game viewing. By teaming up with DirecTV the NFL found their solution.
Through the year 2014 football fans in all 50 states of the United States and the world will be able to watch football games through their broadband Internet connection for a nominal monthly or yearly fee. Football fans who are also still customers on DirecTV for their regular satellite TV service will be able to purchase the NFL Sunday ticket broadband only Internet showing of football games at a greatly reduced rate.
While time and technology will only increase the availability of sporting events online, football fans across the globe are grateful for the current strides that have been taken by the National Football League and DirecTV. So whichever team is your favorite football team be sure to check them out on the National Football League and DirecTV Sunday ticket broadband only access.
